At the Deep Fried Film Festival

Video streaming by Ustream

It was well worth heading up to Glasgow to watch the Deep Fried Film Festival which was held in Coatbridge. Now in its 6th year, this suburb of Glasgow was the first place in the UK that got to see CWP - Jay and Kay Save the World on the bigger screen!

(Bunny Rabbits in Coatbridge!)

And as it was my first visit to Glasgow, I thoroughly enjoyed the city. A fantastic place to be and I would take any excuse to head there again...

Now on Sunday, it is off to Poland for Quest Europe! A bit of deja vu, especially when compared to last year...

Ari Gill on CWP (Part 2)

Greetings everybody! It's me again...so anyway, once we wrapped up our first day on Caution Wet Paint, I had to attend an audition call for another low budget feature in Central London shortly after. So, Charles kindly offered to give me a lift to the venue himself which I’d really appreciated as I was beginning to feel exhausted from the night before and therefore was in no condition to drive quickly within the time frame...especially when it was raining hard that Sunday.

Once I’d arrived, I gave it my all in that audition room because I liked the material and knew exactly what my motivations to this character ought to be and this really impressed the director a lot when I was done. But unfortunately after a few days they changed their attitude and decided not to cast me in their production... so there you have it!

Until next time...be safe and look after yourselves!

Ari

The Tumblr

Regular readers of this wonderful witty tirade may have noticed a new logo on the side of this blog This is 'Tumblr' and I have no idea what it actually is. I think it is a mix between Twitter and Blogger. Well, I have been experimenting and feeding all kinds of information into it. Well, isn't this what we dreamed about since we first heard the words 'unlimited banwidth'?

Mystic Goldtop's Daily Horoscope: Virgo

Hahaha! This one is easy. Too easy for a superior liquid filled brain such as myself. You are pathetic! All of you. Virgos, in this day and age, ha! As a vassal for my superior intellect you will do whatever I say, simply because I command you as such. Yes, that is what will happen to you today. Also, the fourth mood of Hades will spin constantly, causing you to deliver your letters to the wrong address.

(An example of a pathetic Virgo humanoid form)

---

Do you have confusion in your life? Need clarity and purpose to justify your existence. Then phone Mystic Goldtop on 0990 123 4567 or text 'I am obviously a complete Imbecile' to 89990 and feel the clarity that milk provides*!

(Disclaimer: Obviously these numbers do not lead to a service for Zodiac/Tarrot readings, but probably to some pornographic service that will continue to rape your phone bill until you are left penniless and destitute in the gutter. If you phone/text these numbers, we cannot be held accountable for your own stupidity. Listening to Mystic Goldtop will not make you feel better, quite the opposite, you will feel depressed, lonely and a former shell of yourself as your own reasons for living are ripped to shred by what is possibly the most unpleasant person that has come from CWP. Receiving texts from Mystic Goldtop is simply wrong, quite possibly as he has no fingers or thumbs by which to operate such devices. Mystic Goldtop is not a person, but a milk based life form from the Planet Plov, somewhere in the vicinity of Zargon, which you will find off Junction 9 on the M20 in Kent. Mystic Goldtop's so called astrological service is provided for a very high fee on the behalf of Caution Wet Paint Services a subsidiary of Plov Enterprises (PVT). Calls will be monitored because we are spying on our own workforce as it is cheaper to pay them slave wages and not trust them, rather than paying a decent living wage and be settled, happy in the knowledge that they would actually value the job. Note how this disclaimer contains more information (including lies, half truths and what is often referred to as 'Gospel') than the actual horoscope prediction for today.)

Mystic Goldtop's Daily Horoscope: Aries

Today you will feel hot headed. Stupid. Like an imbecile. Yes, then you will have a chance meeting with a genius next week and eventually, after many turns in your life (all due to your own incompetence) you will finally receive the bountiful rewards that you deserve of the 21st of next month, if the full moon makes it to Saturn and Neptune wiggles Uranus in just the right way, especially when once past Titan.

(A typical example of a pathetic Aries humanoid form)

---

Find out what will happen to you this week and how you should deal with it! Phone 0990 123 4567 or text 'Gullible' to 89990 to find out all from Mystic Goldtop!

(Disclaimer: Phone numbers do not exist. Well, they might do, but we do not run them and so if you phone/text them, you will run up a very high bill. Very high. Do not do it. Imbeciles. Mystic Goldtop cannot accurately predict all situations, and in fact get your head out of your proverbial rear ends and start to look for something more in life than in the stars of some Greek Astronomer. Mystic Goldtop's so called astrological service is provided for a very high fee on the behalf of Caution Wet Paint Services a subsidiary of Plov Enterprises (PVT). Calls may be monitored for the purposes of quality control and customer service (ha!). Your information will not be shared unless you reside within the boundaries of the Republic of Poplar which is currently exempt from the jurisdiction of the Data Protection Act (1998) whereby we will sell your information, details and soul to the highest bidder, commonly known in Spanish as 'El Diablo'. Note how this disclaimer actually contains more information (both useful and useless) than the actual horoscope prediction above it.)

Vlog's Up?

This is quite simply the most talebted piece of youtubing and vlogging since sliced bread. The opinions of the masses ad more importantly, the wackiness of Caution Wet Paint mixed in with some very talented people...

The Comment Box

Blogs have comment boxes. Personally I love to comment on everyone's blogs. But sometimes the comment box does not work. And Nick, I love your blog but I need to use the comment box! And I can't!

UPDATE (El Maestro) Thanks for pointing that out - there was a minor technical glitch and now its fixed. They still require me to approve them manually. BTW its common etiquette to contact about such issues on a private medium (eg text/email) rather than broadcasting it to the whole world... Thus I'm replying here rather than using the comment box. If you have nothing better to blog about then perhaps you could put the time into other uses such as improving your Google ratings?

(I have woken up this morning and already hate this computer).

Remember - it only does what you instruct it to do...

The Ingredients that make up CWP

Over here on the CWP Blog we are going to spend the next week looking at what makes a good webisode:

Just like a cake, there are many ingredients to Caution Wet Paint. And over the next week I will share with you some of the assorted flavours that make up the steaming tasty buns that you can view all the time, whenever you want, right here...

Some are wonderful titbits, some tastes may have to be acquired. But just like marmite, it is irresistible. Unless, of course, you do not like marmite (FREAKS!)

So join the Blog Net Award nominated blog all next week, for a little peek into all things kinky...

Vlogging vs Blogging

Over the last week, this blog has been filled with videos, almost making it a vlog, rather than a place in which the cast and crew actually write. This is not surprising, considering the fact that we are primarily involved in filming and we try to show the highs and lows on our journey in making CWP. So today is an attempt at a blog - as good an attempt after under five hours sleep.

Sleep - something of the dammed. You never remember a good night's sleep, but it is always something the body craves, like greasy food or sugar. Too much is bad for you, yet we need it regularly. Personally, if I could, I would not sleep at all, but even when I can, my sleeping patterns are haywire and all over the place.

That's it for now. I will also be doing a small video for All Sports on the Web, as that is nearly cut. It should be out by Wed.

El Director's Guide to Writing a Blog

1) Sign into blog with your username and password.

2) Write a few lines. Wit is not a necessity, just content.

3) If you are feeling plucky, then attach a picture, or even a video. Note the example below

4) If your blog is published on more than one site (for example, Myspace and Blogger) then copy and paste from one page to the next.

5) Hit the 'publish post' button.

Voila! The blog has been posted. The world can now view your thoughts and words.

----

It is so simple, El Director wonders why everyone does not have their own personal blog, or at least one posting a week.

It's so easy...like taking candy...from a baby! 1, 2, 3, (4 & 5)...
