Greetings everybody! Ari Gill here... performing a comedy act and being funny in real life are two different terms completely. Because when you’re being funny under your real life persona it’s very spontaneous, it’s very naturally and therefore doesn’t feel nor looks rehearsed, planned or contrived in any way.
However when you’re performing a comedy act, it’s not so easy. In fact I find it very difficult because you have to be funny. You have to entertain. You have to enjoy yourself. And in order to do this...you have to rehearse...you have to plan...you have to build loads of energy...you have to locate a rhythm and expression which is comfortable to you and deliver!!
