Flicking around the edges

While on the cover, I have seem to have done not so much for CWP, under the surface I have een doing quite a bit. I am in the dead zone, waiting for film festivals to reply and basically I have to sit on my hands in order no to actually muck up the past few months. So I hae taken look at the publicity and found some things that could have been rejigged up.

First on the list, the press pack. The old press pack was fine, but I wanted to jazz it up even more. Plus I have got quite handy with the comic book effects and so included on-set anecdotes and a Q&A session in the press pack. Caution Wet Paint is Amazing!

La Producer here, I was just going through our catalogue of work, and I have to agree with El D, that I love Caution Wet Paint - Jay and Kay Save the WOrld, it had me in stitches. Watching the trailer was brilliant! It instantly brightened my evening after scurrying around in the cold, looking for meat! hahaha!

The talent of all the cast and crew really shine, and I have to say that I really enjoyed filming it and the HD effects look stunning! If you did not see our new trailer, here it is again for you to enjoy!

Watching...

This week has been a busy week in terms of sending of the film to five festivals. It is a pretty laborious affair, each festival having slightly differing entry requirements. Some want one DVD, others want two copies, some want an E-Pack, some want paper based materials. All in all, there are a lot of hoops to jump through. Some have fees to pay, others are free, but always I need to register the post due to the ongoing postal strikes. And then comes the testing of the DVD's. It is important to sit down and watch the DVD's to see that they play properly.

This time, instead of doing other things while the DVD was running in the background, I actually sat down to watch the DVD of 'Jay and Kay Save the World'. It has been a while since I have actually watched the short film - really watched it. And you know what, I really enjoyed it. It is surprising, but seeing the film through rested eyes, I actually remember why I love CWP so much! Let's get into some film festivals now...

The Business

Hello, La Producer here!

Ok a busy day in the film world...after a full day of eating haha and doing some local sight seeing, and I am just now in front of the computer doing some work! Ok, down to the task of sifting through emails and finding out the best film festival to send Caution, Wet Paint to. You always have to get the right balance, and find the right festival in which to promote your movie. Ofcourse you go for the big names such as The London Film Festival, Cannes and Sundance, but you also have to look beyond and search for other film festivals too, to promote your work.

I have found a few, will let you know how I get along!

Back from Holiday

Wow. India! What a place! Again...Let me see if I can make it three times in a year...but anyway back to the UK and well, the land of superstar hair models...yes...oh well, as a baldy they have missed their target audience with me (oh, and I am a bloke as well), but still, what else is a guy to do? Dream of the Himalaya...drink endless cups of tea and make great, great films...

The change of year is upon us, long gone are summer days - when did summer happen again this yr?! Mince pies are already in the shops and businesses are counting down the days of christmas...and with such change, changes occur in life...so yes finally I am moving out of the family nest with the one I love! It has been non-stop care journeys and endless bags of shopping sigh, and more to go...!!!
